Transitions--Thoughts on Death by an End of Life Doula!

I work as a Healthcare Professional and many of my cases take me right to a dying person's bedside. The following is a collection of my thoughts about caring for and easing these souls that are shedding their bodies and are departing this Earth plane so they can be reborn into the next one. I work as an End of Life Doula in the Tampa Bay area.

I love watching the stars and observing nature around me. Live life like each day is precious and always try to do the right thing. Like to watch all the comedy shows on TV, especially late night comedy and Saturday Night Live. Cannot forget the news...all kinds! Political Stuff, Current Affairs, World News! Blogs and I read sites that tell the truth. HATE MAINSTREAM MEDIA THAT LIES TO THE PEOPLE! I work in Healthcare part-time and independently as a Death or End of Life Doula, IT Consultant and Political Professional and live with my man and furchildren in Tampa Bay, Florida. I write when I can and love it. I especially love interviewing. I am also a practicing Isian, Reclaiming and Green-"blending of traditions" witch and facilitate a small circle in my area. We do our Moons and Esbats privately and occasionally join other larger GROVES and CIRCLES for the big sabbats. We are eco-spiritually conscious and do environmental actions from time to time. I stay very busy--hard to keep up with me!

Death...

In the Pagan/Wiccan/Witchy world, death is just HAKUNA MATATA--the Cycle of Life. Birth, life, death and rebirth is the cycle. Not anything to be afraid of, but a life passage we must all get to...we see this same cycle in nature, out of the compost comes the stuff that makes the seeds grow to new shoots and then plants bearing more seeds that fall on the ground and die to make new life yet again...

Every faith teaches their members to believe in an afterlife. But many faiths teach that death is something to be anxious and afraid of...it is merely a transition, a birthing into the next life.
